Prayers for all God's People (2)

Sung response
Eat this bread (Songs from Taizé)

Let us pray to God for all God’s people:

For the people we hold in our hearts today.
For our families, friends and loved ones.
In relationships we struggle with, and for those who challenge us …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.

Sung response

For the sick, the lonely and those suffering loss,
that we may know how to reach out in healing love.
For the mentally ill and those who suffer any kind of addiction,
that we may not be afraid to draw near and walk the road with them …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.

Sung response

For those who are unemployed or redundant
and whose self-esteem and dignity may be compromised.
For those who feel pressured to live up to others’ expectations
and who feel a sense of failure when they do not …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.

Sung response

For the hungry and the destitute,
not just in foreign lands, but those near to home.
For those on the margins of society
living in a twilight world of poverty and despair …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.

Sung response

For peacemakers and those who work for justice
that we may never be afraid to stand with them and be counted.
For those who are oppressed or who are victims of war,
that we may be active in responding to their cries for help …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.

Sung response

For those who struggle with their faith and who long to know you more,
as we listen to your story and sing your song.
For this day and tomorrow and in all that the future may hold …
May we become the body of Christ in this place and in this time, Lord we pray.
