The Season of Epiphany has three separate feast days - first the Epiphany itself when the wise men, having been led by a bright star, arrive at the manger in Bethlehem to worship Jesus and present their gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense.  We then jump ahead in the Gospel story to the Baptism of Christ and the account of Jesus being baptised by John in the Jordan River.  The Presentation of Christ in the Temple – also called Candlemas – is the third feast.
